Rationale and Theme
The event’s theme, “Untamed Spirit,” draws a powerful parallel between the Mamas and a lioness. This metaphor highlights their fierce, protective, and unified nature, as well as their independence and strength. The theme represents the core of their work—caring for their communities (the pride) and tackling huge challenges together.
Event Elements
Annual electronic invitations are sent out to the Clover Mama Afrikas with the option to RSVP. Upon arrival, each Clover Mama Afrika receives a heartfelt Welcome letter, thanking them for travelling far and leaving their care centres to be with the sisterhood. On departure, Thank you letters are given to the Clover Mama Afrikas to remind them how special they are and to inspire them to get through the next year, until the next event.
Award Ceremony
The annual event rejoins, refocuses and rejuvenates the Clover Mama Afrikas and is celebrated with an Annual Gala Event filled with certificates, prizes, acknowledgments, thanks and praise.
Awards and Acknowledgments Each year trophies are given to the Clover Mama Afrikas and project partners. The trophies represent the theme of the Gala Event and recognizes the good work done by all, throughout the past year.

Event Merchandise
The Clover Mama Afrikas receive branded merchandise to wear and use during the Gala celebration week.
The useful and beautiful items match the annual Gala theme and is fun and practical. The Clover Mama Afrikas wear and use their items the whole week and are sometimes asked to wear certain items on specific days to ignite their group spirit.
Behind The Scenes
The annual event presents a golden opportunity for content collection and content creation with the Clover Mama Afrikas. It’s only once a year that the Mamas come together, and time is spent playing and being serious about creating fresh and informative content about each Clover Mama Afrika and the Clover Mama Afrika project.
Individual and group photoshoots and video interviews are conducted with the Clover Mama Afrikas during this week and content is collected for the care centre signage boards, the website, social media content and presentations.
